An award winning family business supplying specialist seeds for the countryside.
When David & Sue Bright established Bright Seeds over 30 years ago, it was to run a business that was innovative, passionate and conscientious. They believed these ingredients would deliver their overall goal – putting the customer first.
With children Anna and Christopher playing their part in the Bright Seeds story, these days the company has a near 20-strong team who specialise in a wide variety of Forage Maize, Grain Maize, White Maize, Bio Fuel Maize as well as Gamecover, Stewardship, Grass Seed, Wildflowers and Game Feed.
Today, the business is headed by MD Chris Bright, who believes the UK’s Game and Conservation sector is second to none and respected throughout the world. Bright Seeds’ objective is to reflect the best of these traditions in its game, wildlife and environmental work, and this is evidenced by its expanding customer base – both here and abroad.
In addition to the UK, Bright Seeds has members of its team in France, Austria and Scandinavia, and other countries too look to the company to meet their cover crop needs.
Cover crops are the main focus – not an add-on or a secondary consideration – and as one of only a few independent specialists in this field, customers can be sure of the best products and advice. There is no room for the view that one approach fits all; individual situations require individual solutions.
Trialling new products on a network of UK sites is the backbone of the business, which is quick to embrace new technology where it is seen to benefit the customer. It is through this work that new mixtures are brought to the market.
There is also a commitment to supporting organisations who contribute good works to the sector – whether commercial, charitable or educational.
Bright Seeds’ highest priority is to be at the forefront of the industry. This is done by having proven, tested supply chains (seed is sourced from all over the world); a team of specialists who are well-informed and professional; and the ability to work with customers to help achieve the desired end results. As a family business, Bright Seeds shares the concerns and aspirations of its customers.
