Harvesting wildflower seed is a responsible and sustainable way of replicating excellent mixtures and recreating natural wildflower meadows.

Bright Seeds harvest local county seed from native wildflower down land and meadows. The harvested seed is certified by Natural England, and can be used under ELS and HLS schemes, or where local and native providence is important.

The nature of wildflower meadows gives rise to seed of variable sizes and therefore cannot be subject to standard cleaning and screening procedures. The occurrence of small grass stems within the seed means it cannot be drilled: accordingly it is recommended the seed is mixed with sand and broadcast.
