With Royal MK 3 the triticale and Japanese reed millet provide excellent cover and feed value for the first year. The Reed Canary Grass is the perennial element that will provide the long-term cover. Very well suited to heavy soil types and areas where annual cropping struggles to establish. This mix works best drilled in wide row-widths.

Royal Mk 3 is a popular mix in Northern England and Southern Scotland, the reed canary grass comes back year after year whilst the annual elements are well-suited to challenging soil types and climates. It works well as a wind-break next to annual cover or alongside areas of woodland. The mix can also be sprayed with herbicides to control broad-leaf weeds.
